I've learned much from this long, painful process. One thing I've learned is that there are a lot of Democrats who put country first over party affiliation. I extend my thanks and respect to all the PUMAs out there.
The PUMAs did not follow their party blindly. Instead, they shouted en masse "NO MORE." In their decision to turn their backs against a party that turned its back on them, they discovered an honorable, worthy American hero, John McCain.
The next time I hear about thuggary, coercion, intimidation and outright thievery of a nomination by one individual against another, I will not sit quietly by just because it doesn't involve my party. I will not watch it all evolve with amusment and hope that chaos erupts within the opposing party. If ever such despicable events occur again, I will join the voices in protest, as we are all Americans first, and no one, no matter who it is, whether it is The Annointed One or anyone else, has the right to corrupt an election process.
